Tameifuna has been cited for shoving referee Glen Jackson during Waikato’s ITM Cup win over North Harbour in Albany on Saturday night.
The incident, that floored Jackson, happened in the 72nd minute of the match..
The citing relates to incident when the 142kg Tameifuna, who was making his way around the protective padding at the base of the goal post to get into the defensive line, pushed Jackson out of the way and to the ground.
The case will be heard this afternoon via video conference with Judicial Officer Chris Morris.

Footnote: Referees or umpires in any sport must not be touched. Without them there are no games. It was techically assault and deserves at least a two match suspension.
