According to the Ministry of Health, the products are not considered a psychoactive substance under the Psychoactive Substances Act.
The new legal highs are being sold as NON-PSYCHOACTIVE and CANNABINOID FREE, the packs also state that they are a NON-ACTIVE “Flavoured Herb Base” and according to retailers ex-synthetic high users are flocking to the new products looking to see what effect the product has.
Retailers have told us that the products were shipped with “full documentation” showing that none of the three blends contain any synthetic cannabinoids, and that the products have been selling well initially, but time will tell whether users find them strong enough compared to their synthetic counterparts to continue using or not.
The first retailer to stock the new products, Party Pill Highs appear to be sold out of all three of the smoking blends, just a few days after they were first reported for sale.
The products distributor “Herbal Exports LTD” has told us that the product contains a well known herb called “Turnea diffusa” which is a small shrub with aromatic leaves found on dry, sunny, rocky hillsides in south Texas, Southern California, Mexico, and Central America. Damiana leaves have been used as an aphrodisiac and to boost sexual potency by the native peoples of Mexico, including the Mayan Indians.
“Historically damiana has been used to relieve anxiety, nervousness, and mild depression, especially if these symptoms have a sexual component. The herb is also used as a general tonic to improve wellness.
