Lorde captioned this photo from Lake Taupo “i see u lookin do u like what u see do u like my ten dollar donut from mitre ten’.
Lorde is embracing a well-deserved break by embarking on a sunny New Zealand road trip and a dip in Lake Taupo.
The Kiwi pop superstar has posted pictures of herself beside the North Island lake on her Instagram account.
The 18-year-old is having what looks like a typical Kiwi summer holiday, with a $10 inflatable doughnut.
And the Royals singer has swapped her iconic moody ensembles for a swimsuit by New Zealand designer Lonely.
A Lonely spokeswoman said Lorde took a liking to the Dita Swimsuit after she spotted it on the cover of the latest Metro magazine.
Lorde, whose real name is Ella Yelich-O’Connor, often wore pieces by Lonely and other New Zealand designers, the spokeswoman said.
“She’s always been so so supportive of us.”
The pop star had been wearing the brand’s clothing and lingerie since she was 16, which was great for the label considering Lorde’s reach, she said.
The label often sent her clothing to wear but Lorde also went in and bought her own items.
“She’s so humble that she quite often goes in and picks stuff up herself without telling us,” the spokeswoman said.
Lorde’s summer road trip also included an old mattress at her beach accommodation and the all-essential Nippy’s iced chocolate.
Lorde’s mother Sonja Yelich has also posted pictures of the family’s summer holiday, which has included fishing and spending time by the water.
