Margaretha Geertruida Zelle, better known under her stage name Mata Hari, was a Dutch exotic dancer who was convicted and executed for being a spy for the Germans in WWI. However, up until today it’s still disputed if she also was a double-agent for the French. Maybe we’ll find out in 2017, when all Mata Hari court files will be declassified by the French government. We will have to wait and see!
